Strong Herbal Laxatives:

Strong laxatives are used in severe cases of constipation.  Strong laxative herbs include Cascara Sagrada, Aloe, Senna, and Buckthorn.  They are very effectively stimulating the colon wall nerves, which induces bowel movement.  Must avoid to use these laxatives with over-the-counter laxative medications as excessive use of these strong herbs can cause dysfunction of the colon.

 

 

Mild and Moderate Herbal Laxatives:

These herbal laxatives help digestive secretions to start a bowel movement.  Herbs that have a moderate laxative affect include licorice, Balmony, Yellow Dock, Wahoo, Dandelion Root, flax seeds, pysillium and Barberry.

When one starts to take black seed oil one should start by taking 1 teaspoon 3 times daily for 2-3 weeks and then 1 teaspoon two times daily.
